Dr. Ernesto Escudero, D.C.

Dr. Escudero was born in Puerto Rico, where he grew up dancing, playing baseball and surfing on the tropical waters of the island. Then he was awarded a scholarship to study dance at the age of 13, which he did passionately for 13 years. His training includes ballet, modern dance, jazz and acrobatics. He is also a well recognized choreographer and has worked with some of the world leading entertainers including Cristina Aguillera and Ricky Martin, for whom he also served as a personal trainer while performing on his world tour.

Dr. Escudero’s education started at the Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico where he accomplished 2 bachelor degrees, one in biology and the other in bio-mechanics and this was reinforced with a minor in business administration. For the last ten years he has been inquiring independent studies in theoretical physics.

Dr. Escudero moved to California to attend Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, where he received his chiropractic doctorate, and during his internship he was part of the organizing team for the Peru mission trip where 12 interns attended. Over 10,000 patients in a course of two weeks were treated in Lima and Cuzco. Dr. Escudero is currently working on his post doctoral specialization in Functional Neurology with the Carrick institute of neurology.

“I had an accident on stage while I was on tour with Ricky Martin in Italy. I was doing some bungee jumping stunts for the last number of the show when I got tangled on the last move of the choreography, and then I suddenly landed on a video wall with my neck and right shoulder. After that I could not move my neck for several days, but thankfully we had a chiropractor adjusting the dancers every 4 shows. After being adjusted by him I felt great and I could move my neck again. I always wanted to be a doctor and I thought that medicine will be my calling, but after that experience with chiropractic I had an awakening and found my true lasting purpose, to serve and to facilitate healing through Chiropractic!”

Dr. Escudero practices many different techniques of chiropractic including Gonstead, Diversified, Drop Table, Activator and Sacro-occipital Technique. This broad spectrum of techniques is utilized depending on the patient needs and physical condition. Dr. Escudero is experienced in performing all the physical therapy modalities including but not limited to ultrasound, cold laser therapy, tens unit and exercise rehabilitation.
