Ralph Flores, C.M.T.

Ralph Flores 6Jan15

I, Ralph Flores, would like to take this opportunity to bring to your attention my services in Sports Massage and Reiki Healing. I have been practicing consistently for over sixteen years and have found great success in healing injuries caused by pulled sprains, bone fractures and various conditions that may occur within an individual’s work environment and daily activities. I am able to deliver quality care from an alternative standpoint, in addition to being an active individual whom also has experienced related injuries through dance and athletic activities.

I intend to deliver and promote the practice of healing the body and discovering physical and mental balance. It is common knowledge that in this life we experience a great deal of mental stress, this triggers stress to the muscles. Every emotion we encounter results in a physical reaction from our bodies, such as clinching certain muscle groups which, in turn may cause irregular breathing patterns.

I am proficient in the following practices that have been helpful to my past clients:

  • Swedish Massage
  • Shiatsu/Acupressure
  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Pressure Point
  • Neuromuscular Massage
  • Sports Massage
  • Active Release Techniques

Competency in the fields of:

  • Kinesiology
  • Physiology

First Degree Training in:

  • The Usui System of Natural Healing (A form of Reiki Healing)

Extensive knowledge and understanding of physical maintenance, due to personal activities that have included: competitive dancing and collegian wrestling.

Michael Harriman C.M.T.

Hello, my name is Michael Harriman. I am very pleased to be part of the "Beyond Chiropractic" family and feel privileged to be working in such a healing environment with such gifted and dedicated professionals.

I worked in the medical field for over 23 years as an Eyes, Ears, Nose & Throat specialist, worked in research, intensive/special care nursery and was a transplant transporter at UCSF. In addition, I also worked in labs and in clinics as a phlebotomist at Kaiser Hospital.

I have over 30 years experience as a massage therapist. Last year I went back to school because I wanted to learn more so that I can be the best I can be for my clients. I graduated with honors, was highest academically in my class and was awarded numerous awards. I am continuing my education to earn mydegree as an advanced neuromuscular therapist and health educator and I will be graduating with honors in that field on October 28th this year.

I've dedicated my life in service to others and am grateful to have found my passion and purpose in life. I am certified and I incorporate 10 different modalities in my practice such as Amanae, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic, MFT, Reiki, Shiatsu, Swedish; to name a few. I allow my intuition to guide me in every session I work on clients. For me, giving massages is not work but an honor and a privilege; allowing me to assist others in their healing process through my touch and expertise while educating my clients so they have a better understanding about their bodies and health. I look forward meeting and working with you.

I believe that one of the most powerful forms of healing is the human touch. Through Massage Therapy, I will facilitate your body's natural ability to heal itself. Specializing in Swedish and Deep Tissue, I understand the importance of well-maintained muscles and how taking care of them helps us in our day-to-day lives. I graduated from the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville with honors and became State Certified 2 days prior. I chose this profession because I wanted to better the world one body at a time, through the benefits of massage, using hands powered by compassion. So, come with me as we go beyond chiropractic, and step through the door of Massage Therapy.

Mark Nguyen, C.M.T.

I Graduated from the National Holistic Institute - Emeryville.

My training included 900 educational hours in both Western and Eastern modalities. While being in school, I also juggled externships, working the public clinic as a therapist and supervisor, and tutoring fellow students as well.

My compassionate nature gives me the ability to easily connect with clients to better help facilitate their healing.

Throughout my massage therapy practice, I have become comfortable with all types of clients and understand that each person and body is different, and therefore needs a fresh understanding and approach to properly meet individual client needs.
