Yvonne is an 8x CrossFit Games Athlete (7x as a Masters Athlete!). She has been a fitness fanatic since childhood. She pursued her passion on her own, starting with softball as a kid to CrossFit as an adult.  She was an aerobics queen and a competitive bodybuilder in her 20’s. In her 30’s, she turned to endurance sports and focused on her running – including 10k’s and half-marathons. In her 40’s she kept up her weightlifting and channeled her competitive spirit to golf which yielded a hole-in-one and Club Championship in 2003.

Yvonne began CrossFit in 2008, and quickly became a top Masters competitor. After undergoing shoulder surgery in 2011, Yvonne returned to the gym and qualified for the CrossFit Games as a Masters Athlete in 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2022, 2023 & 2024 (at the age of 62!). She trains every day and loves doing class with the Diablo community.

Yvonne Howard, a 62-year-old lifelong fitness enthusiast, has faced back issues since the age of five. In 1999, a surgeon recommended spinal fusion surgery and warned her that she would never be able to work out again. Unconvinced and unwilling to accept that prognosis, Yvonne sought an alternative path through chiropractic care.

After visiting several chiropractors without significant improvement, she eventually found her way to Beyond Chiropractic and began treatment. 

Yvonne continues to visit the clinic weekly, where the team’s deep understanding of her body allows them to identify and treat issues without her needing to say a word. She credits Dr. Mory and her team for her continued strength and resilience, saying she would not be where she is today without their support.

Bryant was born in Germany, while his father was in the military. His family originates from the island of Guam. Having lived and traveled all over the world, his family settled in the East Bay of Northern California. 

Bryant attended De La Salle high school and wrestled for the Spartans. He later finished college at Saint Mary's in Moraga, and began his JiuJitsu journey in 2003. He pursued a career in Law Enforcement and served as a patrol officer and also a Recruit Training Officer. 

Bryant was awarded his Blackbelt in 2012. He followed his dream of opening an academy, and in 2014, Sabre JiuJitsu was established. A year after opening the academy, he was awarded his First Degree by Carlos Sapao in 2015.

Isabel Leyva has dedicated over a decade to the world of jiu-jitsu, beginning her journey as a child competitor before making a successful transition to wrestling. Now a proud member of the California National Wrestling Team, she also shares her passion and expertise as a youth wrestling coach. She credits Beyond Chiropractic for helping her stay healthy and strong throughout her athletic career.
